TEEN CLASSES
Ages: 13-18

Teen Singing

Teen singers will sharpen their group and solo singing skills in a fun and supportive workshop-style class. Singers will have the opportunity to work on solo performances through popular song choices. This is the perfect class for teens who want to prepare for musical auditions, talent shows, family campfires, or simply sing more impressively in the shower. Family members are invited to listen to their performance the last day of class.

Advanced Teen Improv

For Advanced Teen Improv, participants must have previous Improv training before qualifying for this advanced class. Explore character work and story through short and long-form improv styles. This class goes beyond the “yes, and” foundations of improv, so prepare for a wild ride!

Teen Painting

Aspiring artists will learn painting techniques in acrylic and watercolour. This is a great opportunity for teens who want to explore their love of painting and build their confidence in the arts.

Intermediate Guitar (ages 16+)

Intermediate guitar is for ages 16 and up and suits players who have some experience or who are willing to practice during the week. New songs taught each session.

Participants will bring their own guitar or rent one from Long & McQuade for 6 weeks.

Teen Acting

Acting class gives aspiring actors the chance to perform drama and comedy scenes. We experiment with Stanislavski’s acting method of “experiencing” the emotion rather than “representing” it. Participants rehearse a small cast play and learn stage movements and characterization skills.
